Our program for Monday, April 23 concludes at about 8:30 pm at the Spark Museum in downtown Bellingham. At that time, we will be offering minivan transportation back to the hotel. For the more adventuresome, there are some additional activities in downtown Bellingham that we can recommend.
Among the activities is the viewing of the 2011 academy-award winner for best documentary directed by a graduate of Western Washington University’s Fairhaven College. Undefeated is an inspirational sports flick concerning the turn-around of an inner city high-school football team. The film will be playing at the Pickford Cinema, right next door to the Spark Museum starting at 9:15 pm. This is sure to be a popular film for Bellinghamsters, so get in line early.
The place for live music in Bellingham is the Wild Buffalo. On Monday night, they will be hosting Skatalites, with world/reggae music. Their doors open at 8:00 pm with music beginning at 9:30 pm. The Wild Buffalo is one block from the Spark Museum.
There are other nightlife options including Poppe’s Bistro and Lounge which is a martini bar inside our conference hotel. Just ask if you want any additional recommendations.
